The Lord of the Rings trilogy directed and produced by Peter Jackson was one of the most critically acclaimed, fan loved, and profitable movie series based on a book of all time. The world of J.R.R. Tolkien is huge and encompassing with a massive trove of stories to tell and characters to explore. Amazing Prime Studios attempted this after spending over a billion dollars on the rights to and producing their show the Rings of Power. After much fan fare the show failed to deliver and saw massive audience drop offs and bad reviews over and over. Well now the Warner Bros.
