History causes you to look back, history causes you to look up, history causes you to look within, and history causes you to look forward. Rewriting books, tearing down statues, or failing to acknowledge the men and women who have made us what we are today is a denial of God's activity in human hearts throughout history, and it is a disrespectful denial of the foundations upon which our lives and liberties are built. It is the tendency of weak men to be threatened by the great men who have gone before. Erasing is not the solution to a better future.
