The final line uttered by Kevin Spacey's character in The Usual Suspects, defines the world we live in. "The biggest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing people he doesn't exist."
Not only does this disarm people from the awareness that there is a force of evil working against you 24/7, but it also undermines belief in a God that created the heavens and the earth and is good. Free will is an act of love. and without an awareness to the eternal threat to it, a world of spiritual blindness and separation from God becomes the upside down reality.
