Here is an animation made from image iteration wherein after a set number of frames the prompt changes, and using the previous frame as a seed, generates an image with the new prompt. The animation sweeps through images generated from prompts wherein only the ethnicity of the woman is changed at each prompt step.

Notice how, mirroring the PCA plot of human genetic samples (https://t.me/LeakyVax/1697), the Eurasian ethnicities flow between eachother rather smoothly for the most part, and then in contrast, how the lips bloat, the nostrils flare, and the maxilla juts forward when transitioning to the African. Then later again when the animation blinks from Middle Eastern to East Asian the epicanthal fold disappears, replaced by their characteristic monolid. Also striking is how subtle shifts in the lateral, bulb, and wing cartilage of the nose have a huge impact on the composure of the face as a whole.

No honest person can watch something like this and continue to reduce race simply to "skin colour". Encyphered within this relatively quick generation and the image engine that created it, is a reflection of the reality of race. I remain excited for what AI can do for racism.
