Beginning with a little history, Nikeeya and her sister Rose discuss how the Dene Tha did beadwork in the old days. Nikeeya then goes on to show in great detail how, with a little practicce, you can learn to do beadwork yourself.

Requests for information on this skill and others like it are frequently made on this channel, so this will receive on-going attention. Many First Nations people are striving to recapture and preserve their traditional ways before the knowledge becomes lost. Part of this channel's purpose is to be of assistance in that effort.

Nikeeya, now in her 70's, has long experience doing beadwork and shares a special method he has of doing it. If you would like to see more of her work, you can visit her "Nikeeya's Native Crafts" Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/NikeeyaNativeCrafts
