Modern Spider-Man Comics Are Horrible

I've been sitting on this rant for a while now and I think it's time I finally get it out there, because it really frustrates me. I love Spider-Man. I grew up with the character and always found a huge sense of comfort from his stories. I've been reading the characters' stories since I was 6 years old. I used to drag around comics with me everywhere I went and I'd just sit by myself and read them because I was a very weird introverted kid. Ever since Spider-Man One More Day, this character has just been completely lost. There's been very little done with him that's actually well-written or has led anywhere, and I'm really sick of it. The recent issues have seen Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson split up (for probably the trillionth time because drama sells) with MJ now dating a man named Paul and Peter just getting scorned by every superhero in the Marvel Universe. I wish I could say I'm excited for the Spider-Man Black Cat romance with Felicia Hardy but I don't even care about that. The whole franchise has become a joke to the point where if you want Spider-Man, flashback issues and Miles Morales are really the way to go. #spiderman #comics #milesmorales
