Plants vs Zombies 2 - Penny's Pursuit - Zomboss - Snap Pea - February 2023

This Penny's quest focuses on the Seedium plant Snap Pea and was offered between between February 22, 2023 and March 1, 2023.

Snap Pea is a member of the Enforce-Mint family.
Snap Pea costs 200 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 4 and 8.)
When planted, Snap Pea will swallow the closest zombie to it. Gargantuars and mechanical zombies excluded.
Those zombies which Snap Pea can not swallow, Snap Pea will shoot three (3) peas dealing 30 damage. (+5 per level).
Otherwise Snap Pea will chew the zombie for 20 seconds. (-1 second per level.)
Snap Pea will then spit out the head, dealing 400 damage. (+100 per level.)

Commentary:
This is a tweaked version of the money plant Toadstool. Instead of Toadstool belching 50 Sun, Snap Pea will do damage instead. Snap Pea has a longer range, the entire lane versus four (4) lanes of Toadstool.

Bottom Line:
As with all plants which target a single zombie, Snap Pea can easily get overrun by a couple of zombies.

However, the plant food ability of Snap Pea is interesting. Snap Pea will randomly swallow five (5) zombies and then spit out five (5) heads. This could eliminate five normal-sized zombies or do significant damage to anything which survives.

Being a long range plant in a Mint family of short range plants makes this plant a decent choice in certain situations.

Reward is 20 Snap Pea
Players start with 1,750 Sun.

I do not get a preview of Penny's Pursuit before it is released. So what you see is what players get.

I also try to vary the strategies from week to week and showcasing different plants and strategies and ideas. Using the same strategy week after week would be boring to see.
