The Town of Bayeux was the first town to be liberated in mainland France on 7 June 1944. The museum is closely located to the memorial garden and the British war cemetery. The museum presents the military operations which took place during 7 June to 29 August 1944 in the Battle of Normandy. All with display cases focusing on the Allied and German soldiers and their equipment and vehicles, the museums provides a lot of information and almost every item is labeled and tells a story. Some interesting vehicles on display are the D7 Dozer and FlakPanzer 38(t) and a Wespe. The museum is a mix of modern and classic displays. And I would highly recommend going to this museum, it's conveniently located with free parking and the British war cemetery and memorial is a walking distance away
