Hook: Mustad R50 (94840), #8-#20
Thread: Danville 6/0, Black
Hackle: Dry Fly Hackle, Brown and White

The Bivisible was created back in the 1920's at a time when dark hackled dry flies were very popular. The problem is that on certain streams and in low light it is difficult for the angler to see a dark hackled fly on the water. There is a fly called the Palmer (created in the 1600) that is a simple dry fly hackled wrapped from the end of the shank to the eye, all one color. The Bivisible is a Palmer fly that has been modified with the white collar of hackle in the front so that the angler can more easily see the fly on the water. Sometimes, it's the little things that help. - Enjoy
