Locals from East Palestine in Ohio say the reason they haven’t been treated seriously after a train derailed and spread toxic chemicals into the community is because they are known as Trump territory.
Initially, there was uncertainty around how to deal with all the toxic chemicals aboard the train as they started burning almost immediately.
The decision was then made after a few days to initiate a controlled explosion due to fears an uncontrolled event could spread shrapnel to nearby communities.

Residents are now concerned with rashes seemingly breaking out, water deemed as undrinkable by many locals and breathing reportedly becoming difficult.
Former US President Donald Trump visited the community to show support while Joe Biden has been abroad in Europe.
