Against a backdrop of Marvel’s Ant Man And the Wasp Quantumania underperforming in theaters, Kevin Feige recently stated that there would be fewer Marvel series on Disney+ going forward.
That of course also ties in with Bob Iger’s stated intention at the recent earnings call to cut the total pot earmarked for producing Disney+ content by a whopping three billion. This is all a tacit admission of Disney’s failure in the streaming wars against Netflix, HBO Max, Star, Hulu, Peacock, Apple, Paramount+ and everyone else, so how could this happen?
