20230123 Parenting My Way Thru the Best Years of My Life

Parenting is the greatest task, and greatest joy in my life. Simply put, being a Daddy is simply the best thing I’ve got going.

I see other parents celebrating the return of school, celebrating their children going away.

I have people, hearing that I’m at home with the kids over Christmas, expressing condolences.

Or people saying, “One teenaged boy, and another one soon, you poor guy.”
I don’t understand any of this.

I struggle mightily with depression, and the more time I spend with my children, the less time I struggle with my demon.

I’m 2/3 of the way through my life, and while my body may not be quite what it was decades ago, these are the best years of my life, and parenting plays a huge role in that.
