Charles Barr (barrforjax.com)

Charles is a native Jacksonville resident. He was born at the old St. Luke's Hospital in 1964 and grew up on the Northside. Charles had a modest childhood but felt fortunate to be raised by loving parents in Jacksonville's Oceanway area. Charles continued to reside in his childhood home and grew up believing that all people should have a voice in government decisions.
Charles believes in giving back and has always been involved in his local community. He is a member of the Teamsters Local 947 and sits on the Executive Board.
His passion is his involvement in the Oceanview Masonic Lodge. Charles has been involved as a member and leader and has served in all elected offices, including Treasurer for two years and Secretary for the last eight years. As a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Charles has served as an elected official, including Secretary, for five years. Charles, a Grand Lodge of Florida member, rose to the position of District 11 District Deputy Grand Master. He is also a member of the Northeast Florida Masonic Association, where he served as Treasurer for ten years. Charles has been a member of the Committee to Work since 2011.
