In this special episode of Freedom Chasers, we interviewed Heather Gill, who is a multi-faceted individual with several professional hats - she is a real estate agent, life coach, and founder of the Texas Elder Care Project. During the interview, Heather shares her insights and experiences in the real estate industry and how she operates in this field.
One of the key takeaways from the discussion was the importance of collaboration in real estate transactions. Heather emphasizes that having the right skill set and finding a collaborative office can greatly help new agents succeed in the industry. She also suggests that bartering is a great way for new agents to assess their skill set and trade services with others in the industry. In addition to that, Heather also mentions her initiative, Texas Elder Care, which was created to address the issues faced by the elderly population during the pandemic. The initiative involves collaborating with professionals in the industry to provide answers and solutions to common problems faced in elder care.
Heather also talks about her experience in dealing with different people in real estate transactions and how she balances her passion for helping people grow and develop with her real estate business. She believes that personal development and growth are important and individualized, as each person's background and life experiences influence their perspective. Time management and other essential skills play a big role in success, but sometimes a small tweak is needed for each person to be successful.
She also mentions their strategy for password management and how they tie their life goals to their password as a constant reminder. She believes that having a constant reminder of one's goals can lead to living a life of freedom by taking one action at a time towards them. Heather recommends listeners to change their password to something that represents their vision of the future and hold themselves accountable to it every day.
In the episode, she also shares their own personal experience in purchasing a short-term rental property. She went through a real estate agent, Scott Horn of Horn and Associates, to handle the paperwork and ensure everything was done correctly. The property was assumed as subject to the existing mortgage, which stayed in the seller's name. She has already achieved her seven-figure net worth goal and is now realigning her goals for bigger sites. She does not specify what their life would look like if they had a billion dollars in the bank.
Finally, she focuses on balancing numbers with heart in their real estate business. She runs an MVP club for referral partners which is based on a book called "Perk Your Sphere". The club focuses on building relationships with referral partners and celebrating their referrals by giving gifts and having fun events.
