Japan's Unsolved Paraquat Murders: The vending machine murders.

Japan's vending machine murders were a series of indiscriminate poisonings that occurred from April 30, 1985 - November 17th, 1985. Unfortunately, authorities were unable to gather any evidence about the murders, leaving this cold case unsolved. Each of the beverages was poisoned with paraquat a very toxic herbicide aside from a single one that was laced with diquat which had nearly identical effects, all of the poisoned beverages were left in or near a vending machine, this occurred during campaign that at times would leave the person who purchased a beverage with two drinks for the price of one.
