Torre Attack | Reverse London

I had a game against the Torre Attack recently so this wasn't totally out of the blue, but I don't really have any special for it. Instead I kind of naturally went into a reverse London as Black.

In this game we get some nice practice seeing a tactic through the noise on the board, and then working out whether it can be achieved. It happens pretty early on -- around 2:21 on move 5, I kind of spot the possibility and discuss it. Then we get a chance to try it out soon after. See what you think... did I get lucky? What is the best response for White?

Then on move 19 my opponent blunders. Instead of retreating a piece that's attacked, he defends it with his queen. How can we win a piece here? My opponent's solution is to use danger levels. The problem is, it doesn't quite work. The solution was labeled a "brilliant" move in Game Review, but this one was not too hard to see in my opinion! It's a good lesson to always consider different orders of moves.

I hope you enjoy, and I'll see you next time.
