Soy-Ginger Sauce
Soy-Ginger Sauce Recipe:
Ingredients:
* 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
* 1 small onion, diced
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/4 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup rice vinegar
* 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
* 1 tablespoon honey
* Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
3. Stir in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Simmer the sauce until it has reduced slightly and has thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
5. Serve the sauce over grilled, baked, or pan-seared filet mignon.
This sauce is a bit sweet and a bit salty, with a hint of heat from the ginger. The soy sauce and honey complement the rich and juicy flavor of the filet mignon, while the rice vinegar adds a touch of tanginess. Enjoy!
