Here are the different types of star clusters! A globular cluster is a dense collection of very old stars, mostly consisting of red giants. An open cluster is a loose grouping of young stars. Embedded clusters are tiny clumps of very young stars inside of nebulae. And stellar associations are scattered groups of related stars that are no longer gravitationally bound but are still moving in the same direction through space!
