Kern County Libraries continue the celebration of Black History Month with speaker sessions that educate residents about the historical movements and activism that happened here in Kern County. This year, James Mason, the man who led the city's sanitation workers in a strike for better working conditions in 1966, will tell his story at the Beale Memorial Library in Bakersfield.
