Installing Windows In Greenhouse & Awesome Winter Gifts

I finally managed to start installing the windows in our off grid winter greenhouse. We are in a rush to save our vegetables before the deep freeze comes in a few days.

We hope to keep fresh food and vegetables alive all winter in our greenhouse. The greenhouse will be half insulated and heated by a wood stove.

I worked long and hard to get as many windows installed as I could before it got too dark to work. This job I could not carry on safely after dark because it is dangerous working on a ladder after dark.

I got many of the windows installed in our off grid greenhouse before I had to call it a night and put things away.

We got a very nice package in the mail from an unknown sender. This package contained some wood stove tools. There are a pair of gloves for the wood stove. A cast iron humidifier which we badly need. There is a set of tongs for handling wood. There is a bucket with a shovel for cleaning out the ash. And the best and most exciting of all is a thermoelectric heat powered fan that sits on top of the wood stove and blows heat though the off grid tiny house on wheels.

I have always wanted one of these fans but the price kept me from getting one. I always thought these were very cool. Melanie loves it because it blows the hot air into the kitchen where she is working. Melanie is still sensitive to the cold here and prefers warmer air.
