Canning Final Garden Harvest & Greenhouse Work

Melanie has been canning our final garden harvest in the tiny house kitchen while I was out working on the greenhouse.

Melanie gathered up all the last of the tomatoes and garden produce before the recent freeze. We have a whole lot of green and red tomatoes, some chili peppers and other various vegetables.

Melanie made us some green chili salsa and canned them for later use this winter. Melanie learned how to use a water bath and pressure canner this year and she is using them heavily now.

I went out with Chris to run some errands and pick up some supplies that we needed for construction.

I ordered a 4 inch damper for the off grid water shed wood stove and went to pick it up today. Then we headed off to another town to get some building supplies.

I got the trim for the greenhouse roof. This will stop the rain water from leaking into the greenhouse walls when it rains. I managed to get the two side walls put on and then started on the fascia boards on the front of the greenhouse before it got too dark to see.

I will have to put on the trim on the front of the greenhouse roof tomorrow.
