Ukraine War: Putin says Truss was ‘crazy’ over nuke claims

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called British Trade Minister Liz Truss "crazy" for her comments about the country, calling them totally unacceptable and accusing her of trying to bully Russia into submission. The spat began when Truss argued that Russia should not be allowed back into the World Trade Organization until it leaves Crimea, which it annexed from Ukraine in 2014, while Putin responded that the UK had acted neocolonial-style in its own dealings with Scotland and Northern Ireland. With tensions already high between Britain and Russia due to the poisoning of Russian former spy Sergei Skripal on British soil a few years ago, this public jousting between leaders shows how relations between London and Moscow remain fraught.
