This is the fifth game of the fourth 1834 unofficial world chess championship match between Louis-Charles Mahé de La Bourdonnais and Alexander McDonnell.

For this game, we draw upon the ancient wisdom of Sun Tzu, the Chinese military general, strategist, philosopher, and writer who lived during the Eastern Zhou period of 771 to 256 BCE.
