In a move that could trigger a new Tory civil war on Brexit, PM Rishi Sunak is battling to reach a new deal over post-Brexit trading arrangements in Northern Ireland.

Former PM Boris Johnson is bitterly opposed to Mr Sunak's plans to abandon the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill, which gives ministers the power to ignore EU rules.
