Yates-American J180 Rough Motor Start-up

This is a very short clip of the start-up behavior of a YA-J180 thickness planer I'm restoring. The motor required some repair and was reconfigured from 440 VAC 3 phase to 220 VAC 3 phase. Power is supplied by a rotary phase converter running on 220 single phase. This start-up behavior is very concerning.
