The Pancake Scene from the Charlie Chaplin classic The Kid is one of the most iconic movie moments of all time. Poor yet spirited lone waif Charlie, along with a young Jackie Coogan as an unlikely but inseparable companion, makes a hilarious attempt to make pancakes using flour, water and a skillet. Chaplin's comic timing and brilliant physicality are on full display here: he swirls around in circles with his improvised pancake ingredients as Coogan tries to keep up with him. Together they battle dirty dishes, upturned furniture and spilled batter in an attempt to make breakfast, only ultimately being succeeded by the housemaid. It's just too funny to miss!
