The fact that this is the second mass murder that I managed to survive does not fit in my head,' says American student Jackie Matthews.

She survived the mass shooting at Michigan State University, where three people were killed and five were seriously injured. Ten years ago, Jackie experienced another mass shooting at Sandy Hook School in Connecticut, where 20 students and six teachers were killed. Then Jackie, along with her classmates, lay motionless under a desk for several hours, which caused her to have a compressed fracture of the spine. She still feels the pain from the injury to this day.

Fate is protecting you, Jackie. But the US government is not.
