Lions are known for their cooperative hunting behavior, where a group of lions, usually females, work together to take down prey. Once the prey is caught, the pride will feast together, with the dominant males often getting the first pick of the food.

In captivity, lions are usually fed a diet similar to their natural diet, consisting of raw meat such as beef, chicken, or horse, along with supplements to ensure they receive a balanced diet. Some captive lions may also be fed processed food or kibble, but this is generally not recommended as it does not provide the same nutritional benefits as a natural diet.
