Van and film guru, Neal Damiano have a discussion about the Halloween Films, whether the Laurie Strode character is more important than the Dr. Loomis character and much much more!

In 1978, writer/director John Carpenter and producer Debra Hill made Halloween, a Low Budget, independent horror film. The film was a massive hit that effectively popularized the Slasher Movie genre and inspired other similar franchises such as Friday the 13th — and it also turned the film into the first of a successful major horror film franchise. Since then, the original film, and the series overall, became a celebrated, iconic pop culture staple of horror.

Neal Damiano calls himself “an unhip film geek” and a "film historian" who mixes his passion for movies with an enthusiasm for travel, music and journalism. He is the former editor of FilmWad and worked for Tribeca for 4 years.
