Japan's first launch of heavy-lift H3 rocket in 29 years ends in failure — it never got off the ground
The rocket failed to take off because of a failure in the solid propellant boosters. By the way, its launch was already delayed because of the malfunction of the control system. The development of the rocket cost $1.5 billion.
The next attempt to launch the H3 could take place in a week, Kyodo said.
