TURKEY EARTHQUAKE: Incredible Phone Call Of Man Unearthed After 261 Hours Buried Alive

A man pulled alive from rubble 261 hours after the Turkey earthquake astonished recscuers by chatting on the phone as he was carried to safety.

Survivor Mustafa Avci had just been pulled from the wreckage of a hospital that had collapsed on top of him in the devastating double quake.

But this incredible footage shows him wrapped in a thermal blanket and wearing a neck brace as he chats excitedly on a mobile phone to his relative Kadir.

With heart monitor sensors stuck to his chest, Mustafa looks astonishingly healthy as a rescuer holds the phone for him.

Mustafa, 34, is heard asking his relative about their other family members. Kadir then assures him they are all safe and sound.

Mustafa asks: "Is everyone rescued? Nazli?" Kadir then replies: "They are all fine, they are all fine. They are waiting for you."

Heart-warmingly, Mustafa kisses the hand of the rescuer holding the phone and says: "May God bless you a thousand times, brother! May God always help you in need!"

Search and rescue workers also pulled 26-year-old Mehmet Ali Sakiroglu from the collapsed health facility in Antakya, Hatay Province, on 16th February.

Both survivors were given first aid at the scene before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Mehmet's son Aziz Yusuf, his wife Necla, and his father Mustafa Boyraz had been visiting him when the quake struck.

All three were pulled alive from the rubble before Mehmet himself was found.

A 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck the district of Pazarcik in Kahramanmaras Province at 4.17am on 6th February. It was felt in nine more Turkish provinces.

Later that day, at 1.24pm, a 7.6-magnitude quake hit the district of Elbistan in Kahramanmaras Province and was followed by 4,323 aftershocks.

As per the latest update by the Disaster And Emergency Management Presidency, 38,044 have died and more than 108,068 are injured in Turkey.

Along with more than 5,814 casualties in Syria, 43,858 people are confirmed dead.
