Cyclone Gabrielle was a powerful tropical cyclone that formed in the South Pacific Ocean in early 2022. The storm developed from a tropical low that formed near Fiji in late January 2022, and quickly intensified into a Category 5 cyclone with sustained winds of up to 260 km/h (160 mph).
