The governor of the US state of Ohio, Mike DeWine, has warned residents living near the site of a toxic train derailment to drink bottled water.

It come as the authorities investigate environmental fallout from the accident.

The cargo train crashed earlier this month in the town of East Palestine, causing a major fire and triggering the release of toxic fumes.

Thousands of fish have been found dead in nearby streams, but the governor said the air has been deemed safe.
