A young boy (Joey) experiences the death of his mother who was murdered. It's a cold case, no one knows who did it, until 14 years later Joey receives some anonymous clues relating to his mother's death. In hopes to find closure, he begins to investigate. Meanwhile, his childhood friend, Kay, moves back into town. They both reconnect, where then Joey decides to let her in on his private investigation.
