The Midland MTX400 GMRS Radio Part 1: Unboxing And Initial Impressions.

As part of the new GMRS series, I knew I'd need some type of base station. I picked the powerful Midland MTX400, a 40 watt radio to be that base.

It's got some nice features and it certainly seems to be built well, so I hope that it will serve me well in that capacity.
I'm working on installing the smaller MTX115 in my truck so we can get started on some range tests!
