Engine Rebuilding 101 Part 1 : Undressing The Motor.

I picked up a dirt cheap VW GTI 1.8L JH code engine and decided to give it a refresh before installing it into the pickup.
This motor was running, but worn when I got it so with some luck I'll only be doing new rings, bearings and gaskets as this thing progresses. If I'm not lucky, I'll be sending to the machine shop for oversized pistons and more!

It's a little funny that I don't focus on the one thing I spend the most time on here at Farpoint. Fixing stuff! We'll see how well this video goes over to decide if I'm going to make this a series.
