How can you make a difference in your world?

Moses Gozdiff talks about Australia and the political sphere, from a Christian perspective.

A lot of people who serve God stop showing up and getting involved. When you stop showing up, and getting involved, the Lord can't use you to make a difference.

Our Lord says, I'll make you Fishers of Men. We are put in this world to do the will of God. Not our will. Our Lord simply commanded His apostles, and all of the believers that followed him, to go out, and preach the truth to the world. Here’s the most important thing - the truth.

The Holy Spirit put in my heart to get involved in politics. To make a difference.

We need to make Australia great again. How do we do that? We need to bring God back into the country. Bring God back into the political parties. The Liberal party was founded on Christian values. Robert Menzies was the son of a preacher. He incorporated prayer and verses of scripture in Parliament. That's one thing that's missing nowadays.

God has always been involved through history. In the time of the Kings, there were good kings and bad kings. When the Israelites grew in numbers, the Egyptians decided to put them into bondage, and oppress them. It was gradual - like a serpent coiling. They didn't see the serpent until it was too late. The Egyptians had figured out how to strip them of their identity - of who they were as a nation. The enemy – satan – is still working hard to strip people of their identities.

What does it mean to be Australian? Who were our founding fathers? What did they stand up for? What were their values? People often answer, I don't know.

You can take that further, and ask: What does it mean to be a Christian? What does it look like to be a Christian? In deed, in action, and thought. Do we really know him?

In 2 Corinthians chapter 4 it tells how …by manifestation of the truth we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. In the Liberal party I aim to be a light – be an influence… I am here for the truth - to bring the truth back into politics.

But even if our gospel is veiled it is veiled to those who are perishing… It's important to be led by the Holy Spirit. He will lead you to people, and you can make a difference.

We read of some, whose minds the god of this age has blinded… - they don't know who they are, what their identity is, what their purpose is. Some do not believe - lest the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord and ourselves your servants for Jesus's sake. For it is God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We have to give glory to God in everything that we do.

We are hard-pressed on every side yet not crushed... that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our body. We want His life to be manifested in our body. What does that mean? What does it mean to be like Jesus? We've got to manifest his deeds and actions, so that everybody can see Jesus inside of us. That the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

We do not lose heart. I know there's a lot of bad things happening, but we can't lose heart. We can't let it bring us down. We can't be complainers - we have to be doers.

You have to get involved, if you want to make a difference.

Everybody has their purpose. Pray about it. Ask the Lord, where do you want me to make a difference - in a positive way? How can we live so that people can see His glory, and want to come to it?

Therefore we do not lose heart – though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. Our light affliction which is but for a moment is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. While we do not look at the things which are seen but that the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. So let us not get distracted with our focus - which is our salvation.

Pray about it - about what Lord wants for you - how the Lord can use you. How does He want you to get involved - to touch the people around you?

There's a lot of evil coming. A lot of woke Christianity, as well. Some people are accepting homosexuality and transgender identity issues - which is completely against God.

Satan is clever. He's a deceiving angel. He says, Oh God accepts everybody. But, no, if that was the case, the Lord would have never destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

Yet God showed mercy upon His people. Abraham asked God, if there's 50, would you spare the city? Yes. ..., even if there's five, I'll save the city. Thank God, He is very merciful. And we also have to be merciful.
