The Last Sears In North Carolina. A Sad End To A Great Chain. The Decline Of America On Full Display

Along with Radio Shack, Sears ranks right up there as one of the most visited stores from my youth and well into adulthood. As a mechanic, the Craftsman brand not only became my go to brand, but the bond I had with those tools, the tool catalogs, and the weekly visits to my local sears to swap out damaged tools and to look at new stuff was a ritual that I still miss some 7 years after retiring from the industry full time.
This store is a ghost of what once was, and visiting it was a sad reminder of the overall decline of a once mighty powerhouse.
