Just In Time For Halloween! The Sony DCS F717 "Ghost Hunting Camera". A Cool Relic From The Past.

I picked this up at a flea market a while back and just had to show it off. It's a cool relic from an era long gone. Camera's back in the early 2000's were just getting good a digital photo taking, and this new digital video thing was not really ready for prime time. The Sony DCS-F717 was a high end camera with the really cool night shot feature added to it, and it sold pretty well.

I saw one in use during a "Ghost hunt" back in 2002 or 3. A guy showed up with a modified version of this camera that was able to take near infrared photos. A really cool and pretty easy mod that I hope to try on this at some point. Anyway they are fairly cheap to buy used, and still take decent photos so if you have an interest in the paranormal, you may want to look for one of these old, cool cameras!
