Single Channel Novelty Radios. What They Were, And Where Did They Go?!?

A little hobby of mine, these tiny AM and sometimes FM radio once were a common thing. Stations would run promotions and would give these out to potential listeners. It's a pretty great idea if you think about it. A way to draw in listeners and get them tuned just to your own station!
I feel these died out around the time mega corps started to buy up all the great local radio stations that once ruled the airwaves.
They are a cool part of history, and one that will soon be forgotten.
