The Earthquake 5 Ton Electric Log Splitter. It Turns Out These Electric Splitters Work Really Well!

As part of the many joys of growing old, it came to my attention (The Hard way) that I was no longer up to splitting fire wood with a maul. Luck for us, Jenn works over at the local big box hardware store and was able to get this unit for a fraction of it's original cost.
I was a sceptic at first, but it actually works really well. The power cord keep me from splitting wood to far from the shed, and the speed of the unit is certainly slower than the gas units we looked at, but there is no noise, and it gets the job done while not taking up a lot of space once you are done.
