The Bradford County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) rescued elderly occupants from a home in flames yesterday.
Deputies along with the Starke Police Department responded to a home with the doors locked located at the 500 block of South Epperson Street in Starke, Fl.
Deputy Robert Malley arrived at the home and kicked the front door open. The deputy and others located and rescued an elderly woman. She also informed them that another occupant was upstairs.
Deputy Malley went upstairs and coached the occupant on how to unlock the door. The sheriff's office says due to the smoke in the room and no power, the occupant wasn't able to open the door originally.
All occupants are safe, and no major injuries were reported.
