She starred in some of the most iconic films of the 1960s and 1970s, including The Three Musketeers, Bedazzled, Bandolero!, and Myra Breckinridge. Her role as Loana in the 1967 sci-fi classic, Fantastic Voyage, earned her a Golden Globe for Most Promising Female Newcomer and secured her status as an international star.

She was also a noted animal rights activist and humanitarian, having founded the Raquel Welch Foundation and donated generously to animal welfare charities. Additionally, she was a passionate advocate for women's rights and was a vocal proponent of the Women's Movement.
