Here are more of SpaceEngine's procedurally generated exoplanets! The algorithm that determines the appearance of these planets utilizes fractal noise. This is a method of creating imagery by overlapping many layers of randomly generated textures, the properties of the layers being determined by a random number generator. This ensures that every planet in the simulation is distinct from the other.
