Most believers have a daily time they set aside to be alone with the Lord. They find a secluded solitary place. They turn everything off, and shut the door, and go into the reading, prayer and meditation of the word of God. They want the silence of quiet sacred places.

However, there are times when all of these things we do feel as though a bottom fell out. We still show up, pray and read, yet there is something missing, something is gone. A door is shut. There is no trace of this being from the devil.

On the contrary, there is a noticeableness of it being from the Lord. A strong pull from Him to stop and be still. Not for an hour or day, but an undetermined amount of time.

After feeding the five thousand, Jesus sent His disciples away in a boat, and then sent all the thousands of people away. Having said goodbye to them He "went into a mountain to pray."

Today there will be a strong pull to hold us back from this kind of detachment. The great adversary knows that everything depends on our frequently saying goodbye to things and people, in order to escape to the place where our God can pour His life into us.

Satan has his strong pull. But the stronger pull of Jesus Christ is far superior in power to pull us away from even the way we do things in Him.

Are you feeling that strong pull of Jesus Christ? Then do what He wants. He is working in your life, and most likely getting ready to speak to you. Walk in that path you are being called into.

Leave the outcome to Him. Let Him move and He will come to you just as He always does to those who "Wait patiently for the Lord....Wait I say on the Lord."

“Have you been asking God what He is going to do? He will never tell you. God does not tell you what He is going to do; He reveals to you Who He is.”
