Unboxing the Kalorik 5 Quart Digital Air Fryer (And Making Potatoes🥔 for the First Time)

Today I unboxed the Kalorik air fryer, which I purchased at Walmart. I tested out the air fryer by making a couple of batches of potatoes. Air fryers do not actually "air fry food," but are the latest incantation of a convection oven. The small fan inside the air fryer and smaller amount of circulation space results in a crispy texture to food, which is a bit trickier to replicate in the oven. I was not in the market for an air fryer previously, but my mom bought this for me because she decided she now loves her air fryer, and she wanted me to try one, too. The air fryer is not ideal for making large batches of food, but for a person living alone, or if you just want to make a crispy snack, the air fryer is a fun new gadget to have in the kitchen.
