Anger is a motivating force for the believer. We are never commanded to NOT get angered but we ARE commanded to NOT sin IF we are angered. All throughout the OT we see The Father acting in righteous indignation towards sin and evil, and in the NT we again see our Lord doing so also. Many times the "heroes" of the Bible were motivated to action in anger and it is clear that The Lord was behind them(NOT their sin, however..) We, though certainly not God ourselves are allowed room to be angry, but we must ever be controlled by walking in The Spirit(Galatians 5:16) so that we won't sin, but we have 1st John 8-10 to remind us He forgives us when we confess and lets us try again.
