Are chemicals from train derailment in the Ohio River?

The head of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources said the Ohio River is so large that the chemicals will quickly dissipate in it. Greater Cincinnati Water Works said they can turn off their intake valves to avoid the chemicals altogether and can provide additional treatment if needed.
