Walking from Leon to the Beach at Playa Las Penitas Nicaragua 17km | Vlog 11 February 2023

Today is the epic walk that I have been wanting to do for a long time. I am walking from the western edge of the city of Leon, Nicaragua to the far end of Las Peñitas Beach on the Pacific Ocean. This is 17km going the shortest possible route through the barrios. This is essentially the entire length of NIC-14, Nicaragua Highway 14. I manage to carry the GoPro 11 for most of the journey, but with my broken foot it was really hard going and by halfway I was limping painfully and got much slower than I should have been so would should have taken three hours and twenty minutes took well over four hours and I ended up walking in the dark and could not film, but we are just able to see the ocean at the end of the video.
