Israeli border police officer dead after being stabbed by a 13-year-old boy

An Israel border police officer died overnight after being stabbed by a 13-year-old boy and then hit by gunfire from a security guard responding to the incident, the Jerusalem Border Police said late Monday. Police said in a statement that Sgt. Asil Suead and the civilian security guard were carrying out a routine security check on a bus carrying Palestinian passengers through a checkpoint out of the Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem when the boy stabbed Suead.
